Privacy policy
Your scorebook is yours.
Scorecord is local-first. This page explains what stays on your device, what is sent when you choose an online feature, and how you can delete it.
In plain English
You can use Scorecord without an account. Matches, players and preferences are stored on your device. We only receive account and match data when you sign in, back up or choose to share a live match. We do not sell your personal data.
What stays on your phone
By default, everything you create stays on your device: teams, player names, scores, ball-by-ball events, saved matches and your settings. Local-only matches are not uploaded and are not public. If you delete the app or clear its data, they are removed.
What we collect when you go online
If you sign in, back up a match or go live, we process:
- Account details: your email address, and a display name or profile picture if your Google or Apple account provides one. We also keep your sign-in provider’s ID and the tokens needed to keep you signed in. There are no passwords: you sign in with Google, Apple or a one-time code sent by email.
- Match data: team names, player names, scores, ball-by-ball events and whether a match is live or public.
- Technical logs: basic information such as IP address, device type and timestamps, needed to run, secure and troubleshoot the service.
Public live links
When you go live, anyone who has the link can see the match. Do not put personal information in team or player names. Matches that are not live are never public.
Ads
The free version of Scorecord shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device’s advertising ID and other device information to show and measure ads, and where required by law we ask for your consent first. Ads never appear next to the scoring keys. Scorecord Pro removes ads. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings.
Purchases
Scorecord Pro is bought through Google Play or the App Store, which process payment. We do not receive your card or bank details. We receive the information we need to know that a purchase is active, such as the product and its status, so that we can unlock Pro.
Who we share data with
We use a small number of service providers to run Scorecord. They process data on our behalf or under their own terms:
- Google and Apple for sign-in, purchases and app distribution.
- Google AdMob for ads in the free version.
- An email delivery provider to send sign-in codes and account emails.
- Our hosting provider, which stores account and match data on our servers.
We do not sell personal data. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep data
We keep account and match data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account we delete your account, synced matches, ball events and saved players. Short-lived backups and security logs may remain for a limited period after deletion before they are removed. Store purchase records are kept by Google or Apple under their own policies.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account: in the app go to Settings, then Delete account, or use the account deletion page.
- Access or correct your data: email us and we will help.
- Stay local: do not sign in, and your matches never leave your phone.
- Manage ads: use your device’s advertising settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. To exercise them, contact us.
Children
Scorecord is a general-audience cricket scoring app and is not directed at young children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it. Younger players should use the app with a parent or guardian.
This website
This website does not use cookies, advertising trackers or analytics. If that changes, we will say so here first.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the app changes. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will highlight material changes in the app. Questions about privacy? Email support@solenyx.studio.
