01

One tap per ball

Big, clear run keys and an over strip that keeps the last six balls in view.

02

Cricket rules, handled

Wides, no-balls, free hits, byes and strike changes follow the rules for you.

03

A record worth keeping

Batting, bowling, extras and the chase stay useful long after the match.

What a cricket scoring app should actually do

The scorer has the hardest seat at the ground. You are watching every delivery, remembering who is on strike, counting extras and answering “what’s the score?” from three directions at once. A good cricket scoring app should take the bookkeeping off you so you can keep watching the game.

That comes down to three things. It has to be fast, because a ball takes about a second to bowl and you cannot be hunting through menus. It has to be correct, because nobody trusts a scorecard that gets a no-ball wrong. And it has to be there afterwards, because the real value of scoring is the record you can open next week when the arguments start.

How Scorecord scores a ball

The scoring screen is one set of large keys. There is nothing to open before you record a ball.

  1. Tap the runs: dot, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 6.
  2. For extras, tap WD for a wide, NB for a no-ball (the next ball becomes a free hit), or B and LB for byes and leg byes.
  3. For a wicket, tap OUT and record how the batter was dismissed.
  4. Made a mistake? Tap Undo and the whole ball is reversed, including strike and the over.

Strike changes on its own after odd runs and at the end of the over. The over strip shows the last six balls, and a ring shows what the chasing side still needs. You never do the arithmetic. See the guide to scoring a cricket match if you are new to scoring.

Built for the cricket people actually play

Most scoring apps assume a ground, two umpires and eleven players a side. Most cricket is not like that. Scorecord lets you set the overs, the players per side and the ball, so the match matches the way you play.

  • Gully cricket: quick setup, house rules and a scorecard to settle the argument.
  • Box cricket: short, fast games where the overs go quickly.
  • Turf and club matches: a full record with batting and bowling cards.

What is free, and what Pro adds

Scoring is free: one-tap scoring, extras, wickets, full scorecards, saved matches and live links. A few ads keep the lights on, and they never appear next to the scoring keys.

Scorecord Pro is optional. It removes the ads (also for the people watching your live match), unlocks the worm chart on every match and includes the Pro features we add later.

No account. No signal needed.

You can open the app and score straight away. There is no sign-up and no loading screen between you and the first ball. Matches are stored on your phone, so a weak signal never costs you a score. If you want your team to follow along, sign in once and share a live link. Anything scored offline catches up when the signal returns. Read more about offline cricket scoring.

Questions, answered.

What is the best way to score a cricket match on a phone?

Use an app that records one ball per tap, handles extras and wickets for you and saves every ball as you go. Scorecord does that, keeps working with no signal and does not ask you to sign up before the first ball.

Is Scorecord a free cricket scoring app?

Yes. Scoring, scorecards, saved matches and live links are free. Free users see a few ads, never next to the scoring keys. Scorecord Pro removes them.

Can I score a match without an internet connection?

Yes. Every ball is saved on your phone first. You only need a connection when you go live or back up a match.

Does it work for tennis-ball and leather-ball cricket?

Yes. You choose the overs, the players per side and the ball type when you set up the match, so house rules fit.

Does Scorecord manage tournaments?

No. Scorecord is built for scoring one match well. It does not handle fixtures, points tables, DLS or multi-day matches.

Make your next match easier to follow.

Free to score. No account needed. Works with no signal.
